- 🍗 3 pieces chicken breast
- 🧅 1/3 onion, chopped
- 🧅 1/2 green onion, chopped
- 3 green chilies, chopped
- 2 dried red chilies, chopped
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 5-6 tbsp cornstarch
- 🥚 1 egg white
- 🧄 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 tbsp sesame oil
- a pinch of black pepper
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp corn syrup
PASSOS
Cut chicken breast into bite-sized cubes and marinate with minced garlic, salt, sesame oil, and black pepper for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Prepare vegetables: chop onion, green onion, green chilies, and dried red chilies.
Mix marinated chicken with cornstarch and egg white until evenly coated.
Deep-fry chicken in vegetable oil until golden brown, let cool, then fry again briefly for extra crispiness.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan, sauté garlic, then add onion, green onion, green chilies, and dried red chilies. Cook until onion is 80% done.
Add water, soy sauce, cooking wine, oyster sauce, vinegar, sugar, and corn syrup to the pan. Simmer for 1 minute, then add fried chicken and mix well.
Serve immediately or reheat briefly before serving for guests.
