INGREDIENTES
Shrimp
- 🦐 4 head-on shrimps (280g)
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
Batter
- 🌾 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 🥚 1 beaten egg
- 💧 1 tbsp water
Coating
- 🍞 60g fresh breadcrumbs
Cooking Oil
- Enough salad oil for frying
PASSOS
Remove the shells from the shrimp, leaving the head and tail intact. Devein the shrimp and trim the tail tip. Squeeze out excess water from the tail using the back of a knife, rinse, and pat dry.
Make 4 cuts on the belly side of the shrimp and press down from the back to straighten them. Season with salt and pepper.
Mix the batter ingredients (flour, egg, and water) in a bowl until smooth.
Dip the shrimp into the batter, then coat them with fresh breadcrumbs.
Heat about 2cm of salad oil in a frying pan to 170°C. Fry the shrimp for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
