INGREDIENTES
Main Ingredients
- 🧈 1 block tofu
- 🧂 A pinch of salt
- A pinch of ground pepper
- Adequate potato starch
- 1 handful sunflower seeds
- 1/4 red bell pepper, diced
Sauce Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Korean chili paste (gochujang)
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp unrefined brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp cooking wine (mirin)
PASSOS
Cut tofu into bite-sized pieces and place on a paper towel. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper, and let sit for 30 minutes, changing the paper towel once or twice to remove excess moisture.
Coat tofu pieces evenly with potato starch, shaking off excess starch to prevent clumping.
Heat oil to 180°C (356°F) and fry the tofu until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Mix sauce ingredients in a pan and simmer over low heat. Once bubbling, add sunflower seeds and diced red bell pepper, stirring to combine.
Add fried tofu to the sauce and toss quickly to coat. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
