INGREDIENTES
Meat
- 🥩 150g thinly sliced pork belly
Starch
- 🍙 2 pieces of mochi
Vegetables
- 🍄 1 pack of shimeji mushrooms
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
Seasoning
- 1/2 tbsp potato starch
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- A pinch of pepper
- 1/2 tsp chicken broth powder
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 💧 500ml water
PASSOS
Cut the mochi into quarters. Trim the root of the shimeji mushrooms and separate them into small clusters.
Cut the pork belly slices in half. Lay them in a cross pattern, lightly coat with potato starch, and place two pieces of mochi in the center. Wrap the pork around the mochi.
In a pot, add all the seasoning ingredients (marked ☆) and heat over medium heat until boiling.
Add the pork-wrapped mochi to the pot, skim off any foam, then add the shimeji mushrooms. Cover with a lid and simmer on low heat for about 7 minutes.
Serve in bowls, garnish with chopped green onion, and sprinkle pepper to taste.
