Main Ingredients
- 150g ground chicken
- 1 piece (200g) lotus root
- 1/2 stalk (80g) green onion
- 30g shredded pizza cheese
- Potato starch as needed
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Seasonings for Meat Mixture
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp miso
- 1 tbsp potato starch
PASSOS
Slice the lotus root into 12 equal round slices and soak in water for 5 minutes. Drain and pat dry. Mince the green onion.
In a bowl, mix ground chicken, minced green onion, shredded pizza cheese, and the seasonings (sake, sugar, miso, potato starch) until sticky. Divide into 6 portions.
Coat one side of each lotus root slice with potato starch. Place 1/6 of the meat mixture on the starch-coated side, sandwich with another lotus root slice, and press gently to seal. Repeat for all 6 portions.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add the sandwiches and cook until golden brown on one side. Flip, cover with a lid, and cook on low heat for 5–6 minutes until fully cooked.
