INGREDIENTES
Rice
- 🍚 2 cups rice
Fish
- 🐟 2 whole Pacific saury (300g)
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- 🧂 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 350 ml water
Vegetables
- 🌱 1 piece ginger, julienned
- 🧅 3 green onions, chopped
Oil
- 1 tsp salad oil
PASSOS
Wash the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes, then drain. Chop the green onions and julienne the ginger.
Prepare the Pacific saury by cutting along the belly to remove the guts. Rinse the insides under running water and cut the fish in half. Sprinkle both sides with salt.
Heat a frying pan with salad oil spread thinly using a paper towel. Cook the Pacific saury on medium heat for 4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Place the rice and seasoning mixture (sake, soy sauce, salt, and water) into a clay pot and mix well.
Add the Pacific saury and ginger on top of the rice. Cover with a lid and heat on high until boiling, then reduce to low heat and cook for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it steam for another 10 minutes.
Sprinkle chopped green onions on top. Remove the bones from the Pacific saury and mix the fish into the rice.
