INGREDIENTES
Base
- 🍚 400g cooked rice
Protein
- 🥩 200g thinly sliced beef belly
Vegetables
- 🧅 1 medium onion, sliced
- 🧅 1/2 stalk green onion (green part), sliced
Toppings
- 🥚 2 onsen eggs
- Pickled red ginger, to taste
Sauce
- 150ml white wine
- 1 tbsp red wine
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🧂 1 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1 tbsp coarse sugar
- 🧂 A pinch of salt and pepper
- 🧂 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 🧄 1/3 tsp grated garlic
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
PASSOS
Slice the onion into wedges and cut the green onion into thin slices.
In a pot, combine all sauce ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce to low heat and simmer for 10 minutes to make the sauce.
Add the beef to the sauce and bring to a boil. Skim off any scum, then add the onion slices. Cover with a drop lid and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
Serve the cooked beef and onions over rice in bowls. Top with green onion slices, onsen egg, and pickled red ginger.
