    • 5g dried wakame

    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 1 tbsp mirin
    • 2 tsp soy sauce
    • 1 tsp dashi powder
    • 💧 200ml water

Cut the new onion into wedges by slicing it vertically in half and then into quarters. Pat the aburaage with a paper towel to remove excess oil and cut it into 6 equal pieces along the longer side.

Rehydrate the dried wakame in water and drain well.

Add all the seasonings (☆) into a pot and heat over medium heat until boiling. Add the onion and aburaage, cover with a lid, and simmer for 7–8 minutes until the onion softens. Add the wakame and simmer briefly.
