INGREDIENTES
Meat
- 🐖 200g pork belly block
Vegetables
- 🥔 300g daikon radish, 10cm piece
Oil
- 1 tsp salad oil
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 💧 200ml water
PASSOS
Cut the daikon radish into 2cm thick slices, peel, and halve into half-moon shapes.
Slice the pork belly into 1cm thick pieces.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add pork belly, and cook until browned on both sides for about 2 minutes each.
Add daikon radish and stir until coated with pork fat. Add all seasonings except soy sauce, mix, and bring to a boil. Skim off any foam, cover, and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
Add soy sauce, cover, and simmer for another 5 minutes until the daikon is tender.
Uncover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and glazes the ingredients.
