INGREDIENTES
Rice
- 🍚 200g of cooked rice
Pickled Plum
- 🍑 1 umeboshi, mashed
Herbs
- 🌿 2 shiso leaves, cut into 7mm strips
Seasoning
- ⚫ A pinch of black sesame seeds
PASSOS
Separate 1/3 of the rice and set it aside. Mix the remaining 2/3 of the rice with the mashed umeboshi to create ume rice.
Place half of the ume rice on a piece of plastic wrap and shape it into a triangular onigiri.
Attach half of the plain rice to one side of the ume rice triangle and reshape to form a neat triangle.
Attach shiso leaves to the plain rice to mimic watermelon skin. Repeat to make two onigiri. Sprinkle black sesame seeds on the ume rice to resemble watermelon seeds.
