INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🥓 4 slices thick-cut bacon
- 12 ounces everything bagels
- 🧀 4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
- 🥛 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
- 2 ounces cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon chives
STEPS
Grease a 2-qt. baking dish with cooking spray. Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium, stirring occasionally, until crisp (about 8 minutes), then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
Toss together bagel pieces, cheese, and 1/2 cup of the cooked bacon in a medium bowl; spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Whisk together eggs, milk, and bagel seasoning in a medium bowl.
Pour egg mixture evenly over bagel mixture in the baking dish.
Sprinkle evenly with remaining 2 tablespoons of bacon and dot with pieces of cream cheese. Refrigerate, covered, for at least 1 hour and up to 24 hours.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake, covered, for approximately 40 minutes until lightly bubbly around the edges.
Uncover the casserole and continue baking until browned and crisp on the top, about 10 more minutes.
Sprinkle with chives and serve hot.

💡 Refrigeration allows the bagels to absorb the egg mixture, resulting in a moist and flavorful casserole. For a more intense flavor, use flavored cream cheese like garlic or herb.Use day-old bagels for the best texture—fresh bagels may become too soggy.
