INGREDIENTS
Dough
- π§ 1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
- π¬ 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
- π₯ 1/2 cup milk
- π¬ 1/4 cup white sugar
- π§ 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- π§ 1 teaspoon salt
- π₯ 2 large eggs, beaten
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
Glaze
- π§ 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- π¬ 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Filling
- π§ 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- π¬ 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- π° 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
STEPS
Pour water into a liquid measure. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and active dry yeast; stir until dissolved. Let stand until foamy, about 10 minutes.
Warm milk in a saucepan until bubbles form. Remove from heat, then stir in sugar, butter, and salt. Let cool to lukewarm.
Whisk eggs, then mix with yeast and milk mixtures, adding 1.5 cups flour gradually.
Mix in remaining flour gradually and knead dough for 8 minutes.
Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
Make glaze by melting butter and mixing with brown sugar in a saucepan; pour into pan and sprinkle pecans.
Prepare filling: mix melted butter, brown sugar, pecans, and cinnamon.
Roll dough into rectangle, spread filling, and roll tightly into log shape.
Cut log into 15 rolls, place them in the pan with glaze, and let rise for 1 hour.
Bake rolls at 375Β°F for 25 minutes until golden brown.
Cool rolls for 3 minutes, invert onto platter, and scrape remaining glaze over the rolls.
