Meat
- 🍖 2 lbs pork belly
Vegetables
- 🧄 4-5 cloves garlic
- 🧅 1/2 onion with skin
- 🧅 1/2 stalk green onion
Spices
- 4-5 bay leaves
- 🧂 1/2 tbsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp whole black pepper
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp soybean paste
- 1 packet instant coffee
步骤
Prepare 2 lbs of pork belly and clean it thoroughly.
Fill a large pot with water, enough to submerge the pork belly completely.
Add the pork belly, sea salt, whole black pepper, bay leaves, garlic, and soybean paste to the pot.
Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium heat and simmer for 40 minutes.
Add the green onion, onion with skin, and instant coffee to the pot. Continue simmering for another 30 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let the pork rest in the broth for 10 minutes after cooking.
Remove the pork belly from the pot and slice it thinly on a cutting board.
Serve the sliced pork belly with lettuce, perilla leaves, shrimp paste, and ssamjang for wrapping.
