Main
- 🎃 250g pumpkin, seeds removed
- sufficient amount of tempura flour
- sufficient amount of salad oil
Batter
- 50g tempura flour
- 💧 70cc cold water
- 1/2 tsp black sesame seeds
- 1 tsp white sesame seeds
Garnish
- 🧂 a pinch of coarse salt
步骤
Slice the pumpkin into 3–5mm thick pieces. Place the pumpkin and sufficient tempura flour into a plastic bag and coat evenly.
In a bowl, mix the batter ingredients (tempura flour, cold water, black sesame seeds, and white sesame seeds). Dip the coated pumpkin slices into the batter.
Heat salad oil in a pot to 170°C, ensuring the oil is about 2cm deep. Fry the battered pumpkin slices until golden brown.
Serve the pumpkin tempura on a plate and garnish with a pinch of coarse salt.
