Cut the leek into 2cm pieces. Halve the garlic lengthwise, remove the core, and crush it with the flat side of a knife.

Remove the vein from the shrimp, rinse under water, and pat dry.

In a pot, combine olive oil, garlic, salt, and chili. Heat over low heat until fragrant, then add the leek and shrimp. Cook over medium heat for 3–5 minutes until the leek softens.
