Trim the root of the shimeji mushrooms and separate them into small clusters. Cut the garlic in half lengthwise, remove the core, and crush it with the flat side of a knife.

Pat the peeled shrimp dry to remove excess moisture.

In a pot, heat olive oil, garlic, salt, and chili over low heat until fragrant. Add the shimeji mushrooms and shrimp, and simmer for 3–5 minutes until cooked through.
