- 🐟 2 sardines
- 1 slice of ginger
- 🍑 2 pickled plums
- 🍵 1 green tea bag (2g)
- 💧 250ml water
Seasoning
- 2 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce

Remove scales and head from sardines. Cut open the belly, remove the guts, and wash thoroughly.

Slice the ginger thinly.

In a pot, boil water with the green tea bag over medium heat. Add ginger and seasoning ingredients.

Add sardines to the pot and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes, then flip the sardines and simmer for another 10 minutes.

Serve the sardines on a plate and garnish with pickled plums.
