- 500g pork belly
Vegetables
- 🧅 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 🧅 2 tbsp chopped spring onion
Seasoning
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 🍬 3 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp mirin
- 4 tbsp corn syrup
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 🧂 2 pinches salt
- 2 pinches black pepper
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
الخطوات
Prepare pork belly slices about 1cm thick. Optionally, substitute with pork shoulder or other cuts.
Slice 1/2 onion into 1cm thick pieces. If unavailable, skip and adjust sauce quantity.
Mix all seasoning ingredients and refrigerate for 1–2 hours to blend flavors.
Pan-fry pork belly on high heat to seal juices. Flip and cook evenly until lightly browned.
Remove excess fat from the pan, leaving about 2 tbsp. Skip this step if using leaner cuts.
Add sliced onion to the pan and sauté until translucent. Then add the sauce and stir-fry for 1 minute.
Add cooked pork belly to the pan and stir-fry for 1 minute. Cut into bite-sized pieces and cook for another minute.
Serve hot with rice for a complete meal.
