INGREDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 250g filleted horse mackerel
Vegetables
- 🧅 1 green onion, 165g
- 🥬 150g cabbage
- 🥕 75g carrot, half piece
Seasonings
- 4 tbsp ponzu soy sauce
- 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp Japanese dashi granules
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 💧 500ml water
STEPS
Finely chop the horse mackerel until it becomes a paste.
Prepare the vegetables: mince 1/3 of the green onion, slice the rest diagonally, chop cabbage into bite-sized pieces, and cut carrot into thin slices.
Mix the minced fish, minced green onion, and ☆ seasonings in a bowl to form the fish ball mixture.
Bring ★ soup ingredients to a boil in a pot, then scoop the fish ball mixture into the pot using a spoon. Simmer for 5 minutes on low heat.
Add the cabbage, sliced green onion, and carrot to the pot. Cover and simmer on low heat until vegetables are tender.
Serve with ponzu soy sauce on the side.
