INGREDIENTS
Seafood
- 🦪 8–10 large oysters (about 200g)
Breading
- 🌾 As needed wheat flour
- 🥚 1 beaten egg
- 🍞 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp aonori (seaweed powder)
Condiments
- 1/2 cup grated daikon radish
- 1 tbsp ponzu soy sauce
Vegetables
- 🥬 2 shredded cabbage leaves
Seasoning
- 🧂 1 tbsp salt
Cooking Oil
- As needed salad oil
Liquid
- 💧 3 cups water
STEPS
Clean the oysters thoroughly and pat them dry.
Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with aonori.
Coat each oyster in flour, then dip into the beaten egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb-aonori mixture.
Heat salad oil in a deep pan to 180°C (356°F).
Deep-fry the oysters until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per batch.
Drain the fried oysters on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve the fried oysters with shredded cabbage, grated daikon radish, and ponzu soy sauce.
