Filling
- 🍎 10 medium apples - peeled, cored, and sliced
- 🧂 1/4 cup white sugar
- 🧂 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 🧂 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Crust
- 1 (14.1 ounce) package pastry for double-crust pie
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large pot over low heat. Mix well and cook, stirring frequently, until apples are tender but not mushy, about 8-12 minutes.
Place one pie pastry in a 9-inch pie pan. Pour in apple mixture, then cover with remaining pastry. Seal the edges and cut several steam vents in the top.
Bake in the preheated oven until crust is golden brown, 30 to 40 minutes.
