INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🥔 1/2 small radish
- 🐟 1 handful anchovies
- 🧅 1 stalk green onion
- 💧 600ml water
Seasonings
- 2/3 cup soy sauce
- 4 tbsp chili powder
- 🍬 2 tbsp sugar
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- A pinch of ginger
STEPS
Slice the radish into half-moon shapes with a moderate thickness to prevent breaking or undercooking.
Chop the green onion into small pieces and set aside.
In a pot, add the sliced radish, 1 handful of anchovies, and 600ml of water.
Add soy sauce, chili powder, sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, green onion, and ginger. Boil on high heat for about 10 minutes.
Skim off any foam that forms during boiling for a cleaner taste.
Once partially cooked, gently stir to coat the radish with the seasoning. Simmer on medium heat until well braised.
Serve the braised radish dish with warm rice for a satisfying meal.
