INGREDIENTS
Shrimp
- 🦐 200g peeled shrimp
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- Enough flour for coating
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
Mayo Sauce
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp condensed milk
- 🍋 1 tsp lemon juice
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
Batter
- 🥚 1 egg
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
STEPS
Wash peeled shrimp gently, changing water 2–3 times. Pat dry with kitchen paper, then season with salt and pepper. Coat lightly with flour.
Mix mayonnaise, condensed milk, lemon juice, and salt in a large bowl to prepare the mayo sauce.
In a separate bowl, whisk egg, flour, potato starch, and vegetable oil until smooth to make the batter. Add the shrimp and coat evenly.
Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 180°C (356°F). Fry the shrimp coated in batter until cooked through and lightly golden. Drain excess oil.
While still warm, toss the fried shrimp in the mayo sauce until evenly coated.
