INGREDIENTS
Rice
- 🍚 600g cooked rice
Pickles
- 50g Nozawana pickles
Beef Shigure
- 🥩 100g sliced beef
- 1/2 piece ginger, julienned
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 2 tsp sugar
- 🥢 1 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Julienne the ginger.
Thinly slice the beef.
In a microwave-safe bowl, mix the beef with sake, sugar, and soy sauce. Let it marinate for 5 minutes, then add the ginger and mix. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 4-5 minutes. Stir once and let it cool to absorb the flavors.
In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with the beef shigure. Divide into 6 portions and shape into oblong onigiri.
Place a sheet of Nozawana pickles on plastic wrap, add the rice onigiri, and wrap tightly. Repeat for all portions.
