INGREDIENTS

- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper

- 1 (5 pound) pork shoulder roast
Sandwich Assembly
- š§ 1/4 cup butter, softened, divided
- 1 loaf Cuban bread
- 2 1/2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 cups roast pork
- 12 ounces deli ham
STEPS
Prepare marinade by processing garlic, cumin, oregano, black pepper, and kosher salt into a smooth mixture.
Marinate pork with the mixture and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
Roast pork at 325°F until tender, about 3-4 hours. Rest for 15 minutes before shredding.
Pre-toast Cuban bread with butter until golden, about 3 minutes per side.
Assemble the sandwich: Spread mustard-mayo mixture on bread, layer cheese, pork, ham, pickles, and another layer of cheese.
Press and cook sandwiches in a skillet with weighted skillets, 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
