INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans
- 🧄 1 clove garlic
- 🍋 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 ½ tablespoons tahini
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- 🧂 ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
STEPS
Drain black beans and reserve the liquid.
Place garlic in a food processor and pulse until minced.
Add black beans, 2 tablespoons bean liquid, lemon juice, tahini, cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper to the food processor.
Process the mixture until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
Taste and adjust by adding more bean liquid, lemon juice, tahini, cumin, salt, or cayenne pepper if needed.
Transfer to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with paprika and arrange Greek olives on top if desired.
