INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🍗 300g bonjiri (chicken tail)
- 🥬 300g daikon, quartered
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 💧 150ml water
STEPS
Remove any feathers from bonjiri using tweezers and trim the oil gland.
Peel the daikon, cut it into quarters lengthwise, and slice into 7mm thick pieces.
Heat a frying pan and cook bonjiri over medium heat until browned on both sides. Add daikon and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes, then blot excess fat with a paper towel.
Add the seasoning mixture (☆) and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes until the daikon is tender.
Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onion.
