INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🍗 8 chicken drumettes
- 🥔 10 small new potatoes
Seasoning
- 🧄 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 🧈 20g salted butter
Cooking Oil
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Broth
- 2 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch Japanese dashi powder
- 💧 200ml water
STEPS
Make incisions between the bone and meat of the chicken drumettes.
Crush the garlic and remove its sprout.
Heat salad oil and garlic in a frying pan over medium heat until fragrant, then add chicken drumettes and cook until browned.
Add the potatoes and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
Add the broth ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, dashi powder, and water), cover the pan, and simmer over medium-low heat for 10 minutes.
Add soy sauce and continue cooking with the lid on, occasionally flipping the chicken and potatoes, for 5 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Remove the lid, increase to medium heat, and cook until the broth thickens. Stir in butter to coat the ingredients.
