INGREDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 2 slices yellowtail (220g)
Vegetables
- 🍄 1/2 bunch shimeji mushrooms
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
Seasoning
- Sake, as needed
- Potato starch, as needed
- 1 tbsp salad oil
- 🧈 1 tbsp salted butter
Sauce
- 1 tbsp ponzu sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp yuzu pepper
STEPS
Sprinkle sake on the yellowtail slices and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Pat the yellowtail dry with a paper towel and coat evenly with potato starch.
Trim the base of the shimeji mushrooms and separate them into smaller pieces.
Mix the sauce ingredients (ponzu, sake, sugar, yuzu pepper) in a bowl.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat and add the yellowtail slices. Cook until browned, then flip.
Add the shimeji mushrooms to the pan and cover with a lid. Steam on low heat for 3 minutes.
Pour the prepared sauce into the pan and simmer on medium heat for 1–2 minutes.
Add butter and stir to coat the yellowtail and mushrooms evenly. Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onions.
