INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 🌾 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 🧂 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Wet Ingredients
- 🍷 ¼ cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Toppings
- 🧀 ½ cup finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
STEPS
Combine flour, pepper, and salt in a mixing bowl. Stir to combine.
Pour in white wine and olive oil. Mix until dough comes together. Knead until smooth, about 3 minutes.
Wrap dough in plastic wrap and let rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Cut rested dough into 4 pieces, then roll each into ropes. Cut ropes into smaller pieces, twist into rings, and seal ends.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with a silicone mat.
Boil dough rings in water until they float, then transfer to a towel-lined plate.
Transfer boiled rings to baking sheet, sprinkle cheese on both sides, and bake until golden and crunchy, about 25-30 minutes.
Cool baked rings completely on a wire rack before serving.
