INGREDIENTS
Vegetables
- 2 pounds green cabbage
- 1/2 cup red bell peppers
- 2 tablespoons green onions (optional)
Condiments
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha hot sauce
Spices
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Other
- 🧂 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
STEPS
Finely chop cabbage and add to a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt and mix well. Let sit for 1800 seconds.
Transfer cabbage to a strainer and let drain for 600 seconds.
Combine ketchup, red bell pepper, cider vinegar, sugar, smoked paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, chili sauce, and sriracha in a bowl. Mix until well combined.
Press excess water out of the cabbage using a spatula or hand. Add cabbage to the dressing and mix well.
Cover the slaw and refrigerate for at least 21600 to 86400 seconds, tossing occasionally. Adjust seasoning before serving.
