INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🍗 1 piece (300g) chicken breast
- 10 shiso leaves
- đź§€ 5 slices melting cheese
- 5 tbsp potato starch
- As needed salad oil
Marinade
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- đź§‚ 1 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Slice the chicken breast into 10 pieces, about 1 cm thick, and flatten each piece using the back of a knife.
Trim the stems off the shiso leaves and cut the melting cheese slices in half.
In a plastic bag, mix the marinade ingredients (sake, sugar, mayonnaise, soy sauce). Add the chicken pieces and massage well. Let it marinate for 20–30 minutes.
Place one shiso leaf and half a slice of cheese on each piece of chicken. Roll tightly from one end to the other. Repeat for all pieces to make 10 rolls. Coat each roll evenly with potato starch.
Heat 1 cm of salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the rolls, turning occasionally, for about 3 minutes until crispy and golden on all sides.
