INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🍗 1 piece (200g) chicken thigh
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
- 🌰 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp sake
Thickening
- 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
- đź’§ 1/2 tbsp water
Sauce
- 2 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- đź§‚ 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp grated ginger
STEPS
Mix the sauce ingredients (sake, sugar, soy sauce, grated ginger) in a bowl.
Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Coat the skin side with the cornstarch mixture and press sesame seeds onto it.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the chicken skin-side down and cook for 2 minutes. Flip and lightly cook the other side, then remove excess oil with a paper towel. Add sake and cover the pan, cooking for 3 minutes until fully cooked.
Add the prepared sauce to the pan and simmer, flipping the chicken occasionally to coat it evenly.
