INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
- Potato starch as needed
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Sweet and Sour Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tbsp vinegar
- đź’§ 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp potato starch
STEPS
Mix all ingredients for the sweet and sour sauce in a bowl until the sugar dissolves.
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper, then coat both sides with potato starch.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the chicken skin-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Flip, cover with a lid, and cook on low heat for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked. Remove excess oil with a paper towel.
Add the sweet and sour sauce to the pan and stir until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken evenly.
