    • 100g sliced pork
    • 🧅 1/4 onion (50g), chopped
    • 1 tsp salad oil
  • Seasoning for Chapchae

    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 🍬 1 tsp sugar
    • 1 tsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
    • đź’§ 100cc water
  • Dough

    • 200g pancake mix
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • đź’§ 70cc water
  • Thickening Agent

    • 1 tsp potato starch
    • đź’§ 1 tsp water
  • Finishing

    • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil

STEPS

1

Chop the onion into coarse pieces.

2

Heat salad oil in a pan over medium heat, add pork, and cook until the color changes. Add onion and sauté until softened.

3

Add the Chapchae seasonings and bring to a boil. Cut harusame noodles into 3cm lengths using kitchen scissors and mix them in. Cover and simmer on low-medium heat for 5 minutes until the liquid reduces. Stir in the potato starch mixture to thicken.

4

Mix the dough ingredients in a bowl until combined. Knead until smooth and divide into 6 portions, rolling each into a ball.

5

Flatten each dough ball, place 1/6 of the Chapchae filling in the center, and wrap to form buns. Repeat for all portions.

6

Place the buns seam-side down in a pan, add 100cc water, and bring to a boil. Cover and steam over low-medium heat for 7 minutes. If water remains, cook over high heat to evaporate.

7

Drizzle sesame oil over the buns and pan-fry over medium heat until crispy.
