INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 2 Β½ cups all-purpose flour
- Β½ cup white sugar
- 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 pinch salt
Butter and Fats

Eggs
- π₯ 1 egg
- π₯ 1 egg yolk
- π₯ 2 eggs
Liquid Ingredients
- π₯ 2 cups milk
Pastry Cream Flavoring
- β cup white sugar
- 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- π 1 (2-inch) strip of lemon zest
Fruit Toppings
- π 7 pitted fresh cherries, or more to taste
- π 2 fresh peaches - peeled, pitted, and sliced
- π₯ 2 large kiwis, peeled and sliced
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt together. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Mix in egg and egg yolk until a dough forms.
Roll dough out on a floured surface and transfer to a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until dry. Let cool.
Prepare pastry cream: Simmer milk in a saucepan while whisking eggs, sugar, and flour in a separate bowl.
Gradually whisk hot milk into egg mixture, return to saucepan, add lemon zest, and cook while whisking until thickened and boiling.
Remove from heat, discard lemon zest, and let the cream cool.
Fill cooled tart shell with pastry cream and arrange cherries in the center. Surround with peach and kiwi slices in rings.
