INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Wet Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Add-ins
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup M&Ms
- 2 tablespoons sprinkles
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line an 8x8-inch square pan with parchment paper, allowing for overhang on all sides.
In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, salt, and nutmeg until combined. Add egg and vanilla, mixing thoroughly.
Add flour and baking soda to the wet mixture, and mix until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips, M&Ms, and sprinkles.
Transfer batter to prepared pan and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips, M&Ms, and sprinkles over the top.
Bake in preheated oven until bars are puffed and golden brown on top, about 30-35 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
