INGREDIENTS
Tofu
- 1 (14 ounce) package firm tofu
Marinade
- 🍋 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- đź§„ 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- đź§‚ Salt and black pepper to taste
STEPS
Press the tofu on a plate with a weight for 20 to 30 minutes, discard the liquid, and slice into slabs or cubes. Optionally thread the cubes onto skewers.
Whisk lime juice, olive oil, cilantro, garlic, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Brush the tofu with the marinade, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat a grill to medium heat, oil the grate, and grill the tofu until blackened in spots, brushing occasionally with the marinade for about 10 to 15 minutes.
