INGREDIENTS
Grains
- 🍚 1.5 cups rice
Seafood
- 🐚 150g clams (purged)
Vegetables
- 🌱 50g green peas
- 🧅 1/2 onion, minced
- 🍅 5 cherry tomatoes, halved
- 🧄 1 clove garlic, minced
Liquids
- 2 tbsp sake
- 💧 300ml water
Seasonings
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- Pinch of pepper
Oils
- 1 tbsp olive oil
STEPS
Mince the onion and garlic. Halve the cherry tomatoes.
In a pot, add clams and sake. Cover and cook over medium heat until clams open. Remove clams from shells and strain the steaming liquid.
Heat olive oil in a pan. Add onion and garlic, and sauté over medium-low heat for 5 minutes.
Add rice to the pan and cook until translucent. Mix in water, salt, pepper, and the strained clam liquid. Flatten the mixture evenly.
Spread green peas and cherry tomatoes on top. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Add clams, turn off heat, and let steam for 15 minutes.
