INGREDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 200g cod fillet
Vegetables
- 🧅 1/2 onion
- 🧅 1/4 green onion
- 1/2 red bell pepper
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
Sweet Vinegar Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 🍅 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- 💧 100ml water
STEPS
Pat the cod dry with kitchen paper, cut into bite-sized pieces, and season with salt and pepper. Coat with potato starch.
Cut the onion and red bell pepper into 3cm squares. Slice the green onion thinly at an angle.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan to 170°C (1cm depth). Fry the onion and red bell pepper for about 1 minute, then add the green onion and fry briefly. Remove and set aside. Fry the cod until cooked through and crispy, then remove.
In a separate pan, combine all sauce ingredients and mix well. Heat over medium heat, stirring until thickened. Add the fried cod and vegetables back into the pan and mix to coat evenly.
