INGREDIENTS

- 🌽 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 🧂 ½ cup white sugar
- 🧂 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 🧂 ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 🧂 ¼ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients

- 🧈 3 tablespoons butter, melted

- 🍒 ½ cup chopped cranberries
- 🧂 1 tablespoon white sugar
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
Toss cranberries with 1 tablespoon sugar in a bowl; set aside.
Whisk together flour, cornmeal, ½ cup sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Whisk milk, eggs, and melted butter in a third bowl, then stir into the dry mixture until just moistened.
Stir cranberries into the batter and pour the mixture into the greased baking dish.
Bake for 18-20 minutes in the preheated oven or until the cornbread is golden brown.
Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
