INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1½ teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 🧂 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
Wet Ingredients
- 🥚 2 eggs
- 🥛 1 teaspoon milk
- ¼ cup hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)
STEPS
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Whisk flour, lemon pepper seasoning, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne together in a bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and milk.
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Dip each shrimp in egg mixture, then dredge in flour mixture to coat evenly. Transfer shrimp to a baking sheet. Add additional flour as needed.
Cook shrimp, 8 to 10 at a time, in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with paper towels. Repeat with remaining shrimp.
Toss shrimp with hot pepper sauce in a large bowl until completely coated.
