INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🥩 5 slices of thinly sliced beef
- 🍚 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 🌱 20g chopped chives
- 🥬 1 handful of chopped kimchi
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Rice Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
Meat Seasoning
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp water
- 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
STEPS
Prepare all the ingredients.
Finely chop the chives.
Finely chop the kimchi to match the size of the chives.
Mix the chopped chives and kimchi into the cooked rice.
Add sesame oil and sesame seeds to the rice mixture.
Mix the rice thoroughly to avoid clumping.
Shape the rice mixture into round balls.
Place each rice ball onto a slice of beef and wrap it tightly.
Heat a pan with 2 tbsp of vegetable oil and place the meat-wrapped rice balls in the pan.
Cook the rice balls on low heat for about 3 minutes, turning occasionally.
Mix the meat seasoning ingredients and pour over the rice balls.
Simmer the rice balls on medium heat, spooning the sauce over them until the sauce reduces to about 2 tbsp.
Turn off the heat and serve the meat-wrapped rice balls warm.
