INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🍗 150g chicken tenders, trimmed
- 🥔 150g daikon radish
- 2 shiso leaves
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
Sauce
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp dashi powder
- đź’§ 200ml water
STEPS
Cut the daikon radish into cross sections, then slice into 1cm thick pieces. Thinly slice the shiso leaves.
Cut the chicken tenders into bite-sized pieces, sprinkle with salt, and coat with potato starch.
Heat 2cm of vegetable oil in a frying pan to 160°C. Fry the daikon until golden brown (about 3–5 minutes), then fry the chicken until cooked through (about 5 minutes).
Mix the sauce ingredients in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and heat in a 600W microwave for 1 minute.
Plate the fried daikon and chicken, pour the sauce over, and garnish with shiso leaves.
