INGREDIENTS

- 🍖 8 ounces bulk Italian sausage
Vegetables
- 🧅 ½ cup chopped onion
- ½ cup chopped bell pepper
- ½ large head cabbage, chopped
- 🧄 1 clove garlic, minced

- 🍚 1 cup cooked rice
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 🟫 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 🍋 1 teaspoon lemon juice

- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a casserole dish.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage; cook and stir until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
Stir in onion, bell pepper, and garlic; cook until onion is translucent, 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in cabbage and cook until slightly softened, about 5 minutes.
Transfer sausage mixture to the prepared casserole dish. Stir in tomato sauce, cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and salt until combined.
Bake in the preheated oven until cabbage is tender, about 30 minutes.
