INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground chicken
- ½ cup dry bread crumbs
- ¼ cup dry French onion soup mix
- š„ 4 ounces bacon, roughly chopped
For SautƩed Mixture
- š§ 2 tablespoons butter
- š§ 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- š§ Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
Assembly
- 6 croissants, halved and toasted
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- š„ 6 slices bacon, halved and cooked
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Combine ground chicken, bread crumbs, and soup mix in a large mixing bowl.
Pulse 4 ounces of bacon in a food processor 10-12 times. Combine with the ground chicken mixture, form 6 patties, and place them on a baking sheet.
Place patties in the freezer to chill for 12 minutes.
Bake patties for 8 minutes at 425°F. Reduce to 350°F (175°C) and bake an additional 12 minutes until cooked through.
Meanwhile, set a sautƩ pan over medium heat. Add butter, then onions and mushrooms. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes, and season with salt and pepper.
Assemble burgers by placing a patty on each croissant, topping with Swiss cheese, cooked bacon, and sautƩed onion-mushroom mixture. Serve immediately.
