INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🌱 100g edamame (shelled)
- 1 pack shumai wrappers (about 20 pieces)
- As needed salad oil
- đź’§ 1 tbsp water
- As needed mustard
- đź§‚ As needed soy sauce
Filling
- 200g ground chicken
- 1/2 tbsp potato starch
- 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sake
- đź§‚ 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- đź§‚ 1/3 tsp salt
- As needed pepper
STEPS
Remove edamame from their pods. Mix edamame with the filling ingredients and divide into 8 portions.
Cut shumai wrappers into 1cm strips. Shape the filling into balls and coat them with the wrapper strips.
Grease a heatproof container with salad oil, arrange the shumai, and sprinkle water over them. Cover with cooking paper and plastic wrap, then microwave at 600W for 7–8 minutes.
Plate the shumai and serve with mustard and soy sauce.
