INGREDIENTS
Main
- 6 frankfurters (300g)
- 🥚 1/2 beaten egg
- 🍅 ketchup as needed
- mayonnaise as needed
Dough
- 160g bread flour
- 🍬 2 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- 4g dry yeast
- 🥚 1/2 beaten egg
- 🧈 30g unsalted butter
- 💧 70cc water
STEPS
Heat 70cc of water in a microwave-safe container at 600W for 40 seconds without covering.
Mix all dough ingredients in a bowl until combined, then knead on a board until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough back in the bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise at room temperature for 25 minutes until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough to release air, divide into 6 equal portions, and roll each into a 1cm thick rope.
Wrap each dough rope around a frankfurter, leaving 2cm space at both ends. Repeat for all 6 frankfurters.
Place the wrapped frankfurters on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with a damp cloth, and let rest for 20 minutes.
Brush the dough with beaten egg, then apply ketchup and mayonnaise. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
