INGREDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 8 small horse mackerels
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
Cooking Oil
- Enough salad oil for frying
Batter
- Enough all-purpose flour
- 🧀 1 tbsp grated cheese
- 🥚 1 beaten egg
- Enough breadcrumbs
STEPS
Prepare the horse mackerels by removing the scales, guts, gills, and heads. Open them up and season with sake, salt, and pepper.
In a bowl, mix grated cheese and beaten egg.
Coat the fish in all-purpose flour, then the cheese-egg mixture, and finally breadcrumbs.
Heat salad oil in a pot to 170°C (340°F). Fry the coated fish until golden and cooked through.
