INGREDIENTS
Dairy
- 🧈 2 tablespoons butter
- 🥛 ¼ cup whipping cream
Vegetables
- 🧅 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 🍄 6 ounces portobello mushrooms, quartered
Condiments and Sauces
- 1 teaspoon garlic base (such as Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Garlic Base)
- ½ teaspoon browning sauce
Liquids
- 💧 ½ cup water
Spices and Seasoning
- 2 teaspoons all-purpose seasoning (such as Savory Spice® Wash Park Seasoning)
- 1 ½ teaspoons shallot salt (such as Savory Spice® Supreme Shallot Salt)
Meat
- 1 ¼ pounds bone-in, thick-cut, frozen pork chops
Baking
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
STEPS
Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (Instant Pot) and select Sauté function. Add butter once the pot is hot. Add onion and stir frequently until soft and fragrant.
Add garlic base and pour in water. Stir to combine.
Mix all-purpose seasoning and shallot salt together. Sprinkle on both sides of pork chops. Place chops on top of onion. Hit Cancel and seal lid.
Select high pressure on Instant Pot, cook for 13 minutes, and allow 10-15 minutes for pressure to build.
Release pressure naturally for 12 minutes, then quick-release remaining pressure for 5 minutes. Remove pork chops.
Select Sauté function again, add mushrooms, and stir.
Whisk whipping cream, flour, and browning sauce. Add mixture into pot and thicken for 3 minutes. Serve.
